In June of 2011, we purchased our Hyde Park home recognizing there were a number of issues with the house that needed to be addressed immediately. We also wanted to make several improvements but didn’t intend to change the floor plan in any way. Instead of hiring a general contractor, we retained Tom as a construction consultant and we could not have been happier for doing so. Tom orchestrated the hiring and timing of all the sub-contractors and served as our advocate throughout the whole process. His counsel was invaluable as he made recommendations to solve problems that saved both time and money. Tom also relieved us of the burden of dealing with the sub-contractors.  If a contractor was not meeting our expectations, we went to Tom and the issue was immediately resolved. Tom’s professionalism and responsiveness were really impressive and his hourly rate was incredibly reasonable. No major home renovation is ever easy, but we can’t imagine how difficult our project would have been if Tom was not involved.
